Week 6: Underground Comix

This comic do not have a certain story, but is a mixture of small illustration and small comics stips. It's an ordinary flat black and white comic, with lots of exaggerated drawing style. Because it's adults only, it has lots of sexual and sensitive images.
I know and understand lots of early comics involve inappropriate content, but I really did not enjoy reading this one. I know sexual comics may involve the author’s sexual fantasy or what they like, and are fictional. But personally it was very disturbing. As a female audience, I do not enjoy watching female used as only sexual content. The body figure of females are exaggerated. However, most of this comic shows female as sexual content and some of them even reminds rape or prostitution. Sometimes there’s a male calling out random cost looking at female. The author even draws himself watching a woman’s ass, puts his own character in sexual moment which would be sexual abuse if it’s happened in real life. Not just a sexual content is a thing that disturbs me; also racist. There are also drawings of black people in a early animation style; characteristic of thick lips, huge earrings, etc. Some people might say don't be so sensitive and take it as humor, but I don't think these kind of comic should be published nowadays.
